КОГНИТИВНО-СТИЛИСТИЧЕСКИЙ АНАЛИЗ МЕТАФОРЫ
The article examines metaphor within the framework of the cognitive-stylistic approach. It discusses the fundamental principles of conceptual metaphor theory and descriptor metaphor theory, highlighting the interaction between cognitive mechanisms, linguistic representation, and the stylistic functions of metaphor. Based on the analysis of Langston Hughes’s poetic works, the study investigates conceptual metaphorical models structured through the interaction of source and target domains. The findings demonstrate that metaphor functions not only as a means of artistic expression but also as an important mechanism for the conceptualization of reality.
