The results of studying the features of growth and development of Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench are presented in two
experimental areas. Determined laboratory and field germination of seeds. The duration of the vegetation of Echinacea purpurea
varies from 160 to 210 days, depending on weather conditions and the age of the plants. It is shown that the average content of
hydroxycinnamic acids, in terms of chicory acid, in different echination organs is 2.36-4.51 %. In the above-ground biomass of
Echinacea purpurea, the content of essential oils varies from 0.40-0.73 %.
