SOILS OF THE FORMER “LIVING” AMUDARYA DELTA AND MEASURES TO IMPROVE THEIR ECOLOGICAL-MELIORATIVE STATE
The article considers the difficult ecological situation that has developed in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya and the Aral Sea,
the processes of desertification, widespread soils in this region, the violation of the melioration state of lands in agricultural
circulation, the reduction of the land fund due to the influence of the dust-salt mixture rising from the bottom of the dried bottom
of the Aral Sea. In this region, the objects of study have a different mechanical composition, and this diversity is associated with
the genesis of soil-forming parent rocks, on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is associated with the cultural and irrigation
activities of man, as well as with the improvement of the reclamation and ecological state of these soils and an increase in their
productivity.
