The article examines the transformation of the classical archetype of the “path” and the “hero-seeker” in postmodern literature.
Through a parallel analysis of V. Pelevin’s novel Chapaev and Void and Kh. Ismailov’s Mbobo, the author demonstrates how the
mythological motif of the journey is reinterpreted in the post-Soviet context – from metaphysical deconstruction of reality to the
painful reconstruction of hybrid identity. Special attention is paid to the liminal spaces (void / metro) and the ontological uncertainty
of the protagonists.
