This article analyzes the impact of unemployment on an individual's mental health, family relationships, and social self-awareness from a socio-philosophical perspective. The historical and theoretical foundations for studying the psychological consequences of unemployment are examined, in particular, through the example of classical research from the Great Depression period and modern foreign research. Empirical evidence regarding the impact of unemployment on mental health and family stability was also analyzed, and recommendations were developed for socio-psychological approaches aimed at mitigating these consequences in the context of New Uzbekistan.
