The article summarizes the analysis of the behavior of migrants in a different cultural environment in accordance with social
norms, historically established traditions of the host society. The impact of the transformation of values on their national
mentality, the formation and geographical characteristics of the formation of migrants in countries, the contingent of migrants,
the social consequences of a long stay abroad and other social characteristics of migration processes are considered. The material
contains theoretical conclusions about the influence of the migrant's sense of self as someone else's element of society on
spiritual security.
