SIGNIFICANCE OF GOSSYPOL'S POLYFUNCTIONALITY IN THE ANALYSIS OF HEAVY METALS

Stereochemistry of gossypol, tautomerism, enantiomerism, solubility, spectrophotometry, IR-spectroscopy.

Authors

In the article, the connection of some physico-chemical properties of gossypol derivatives with the molecular structure was
studied. Also, optimal conditions were selected for the formation of a complex of gossypol acetic acid with mercury metal. It was
determined that optical density and mercury concentration (2.0–38.0 μg/25ml) have a linear relationship under the selected
optimal conditions, and the composition of the complex was studied using the Asmus method. The accuracy and reproducibility
of the method were studied.
