Nocturnal flying insects such as moths and beetles are very sensitive to artificial light sources. In recent years, the widespread
use of artificial lighting has led to an increase in light pollution, which has a detrimental effect on the behavior and survival
of these insects. One important aspect of light pollution is the spectrum of light emitted by artificial light sources. In this
review, we analyze the sensitivity of nocturnal flying insects to different wavelengths of light and how this affects their
behavior and ecology, as well as the preliminary results of our experiments.
