The decomposition stages of the Aktau deposit limestone and the elemental composition of the products were investigated using
DTA, SEM, and EDS methods. Intensive decarbonization occurs in the temperature range of 680-770 °C. It was found that the
optimal porous CaO structure with a high content of target elements forms at 1000 °C, whereas further heating to 1100–1200 °C
causes particle sintering.
