This article presents an analysis of the HVI and HVII segments within the D-loop region of mitochondrial DNA. The variability
of mitochondrial DNA is primarily observed in the HVI and HVII segments of the D-loop region. During the study, nucleotide
variations and polymorphisms within these segments were analyzed. The obtained results demonstrated that the HVI and HVII
segments possess high identification value and enable reliable identification even from degraded biological samples. The analysis
of these segments is of significant importance in forensic science and molecular genetics.
