HISTORIOGRAPHY AND SOURCE STUDY OF DEMOGRAPHIC PROCESSES IN THE KASHKADARYA OASIS (1925–2025)
This article analyzes the historiography and source study of historical and demographic processes that took place in the Kashkadarya oasis between 1925 and 2025. Special attention is paid to the coverage in scientific literature of issues related to the population size of the oasis, its territorial distribution, natural movement, migration processes, urbanization, ethnic composition, and administrative-territorial changes. The processes of researching the World War II and post-war periods, the socio-economic transformations of the 1960s–1980s, and demographic processes during the independence period are also examined.
