This study presents the processing of tar product, one of the by-products generated during natural gas processing at Uz-Kor Gas
Chemical LLC, located in the Kungrad district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The tar product was fractionated by vacuum
distillation, and phenanthrene, a tricyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, was isolated from the obtained fractions using suitable organic
solvents. Furthermore, a method for the synthesis of phenanthrene sulfonic acid based on the isolated phenanthrene is described
