In this study, the expression of expressive speech movements was analyzed using the dysphemistic units used in the speech of characters in Tahir Malik's story "The smallest Crime". In the study, the theory of speech acts expressed by Brown and Levinson and the manifestation of the principle of politeness in Leach's language were studied.
