This article discusses the loss of bioindicator properties of oribatid mites found in Kashkadarya region under the influence of various anthropogenic and environmental factors. The research, conducted in the spring and summer of 2023, focused on pine and spruce forests surrounding the Shortan gas-chemical industrial area. In the results of our study, 23 species such as Ornithonyssus bursa, Geratoppia quadridentate, Furcoribula furcillata, Perlohmannia altaica, Liochthonius kirghisicus, Asiacarius elongatus, Liochthonius hystricinus, Cultroribula dentata, Epilohmannia cylindrica and Michelia paradoxa were identified. The change of these parameters of the species occurred first of all in the soil layer at a depth of 10 cm. The study found that the main factor behind these changes is not chemical emissions from industrial plants, but acid gases from combustion gases, which mix with precipitation to form acid rain. leads to
