THE HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF THE TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE OF SURKHANDARYA REGION

This article analyzes the historical formation, development, and existing problems of the transport infrastructure of the Surkhandarya region. Based on archival documents, the study examines road construction, repair works, and the economic significance of transport networks. The research results indicate that a lack of financial resources and organizational issues have hindered the stable development of the transport system. At the same time, the modernization of road infrastructure, the development of logistics services, and the attraction of investments are highlighted as crucial factors for economic growth
