The article analyzes the formation of the ideal society concept in utopian and folklore texts. In folklore texts, in particular, fairy tales, legends and epics, the concept of an ideal society is expressed more through symbolic and mythical images, while in utopian literature it is formed on the basis of a scientific and philosophical approach. The idea of an ideal society has changed at different stages of human history and has been formed on the basis of the needs and cultural values of society. The work highlights the utopian views of thinkers such as Plato, Thomas More, Tommaso Campanella and their connection with folklore motifs. The historical development of the concept of an ideal society and its modern interpretations and influence on social life are also considered.
