The article discusses the theoretical foundations of professional speech, its functions, characteristics, types and linguistic means. The
features of oral and written professional communication are analyzed, including monologue and dialogic speech, official business,
scientific and journalistic written speech. The basic requirements for a specialist’s speech are determined, such as accuracy, logic,
literacy, compliance with the communicative situation and speech culture. Particular attention is paid to the role of terminology and
professionalism in specialized communication. The article emphasizes the importance of improving professional speech for successful
interaction in a professional environment
