This article explores the didactic foundations for developing engineering competence among university students. The study examines methodological approaches to shaping engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the integration of theoretical and practical training. The paper provides recommendations for improving the educational process to enhance the professional training of future engineers.
