This article analyzes the changes that have occurred in the housing, utilities and household services sectors in the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions for 1991-2023. The southern regions of Uzbekistan are of strategic importance in terms of demographic growth and economic development, and during this period, state programs for housing construction, reforms aimed at improving utilities and processes related to the development of the private sector are considered here. The article emphasizes the achievements in the regions, as well as existing problems, including: the imbalance in housing construction between rural and urban areas, disruptions in utilities, the inadequacy of the waste management system, and the limited coverage of household services.
