Variant units represent different forms of the same linguistic unit, possessing similar meanings but differing in certain formal features. In Russian and Uzbek, variability manifests at various levels of the language system, including phonetics, morphology, lexicon, and syntax. This study examines the specifics of linguistic variability, its typological features, and its manifestations in these languages, as well as its impact on communication and linguistic norms.
