This article is devoted to the analysis of the image of a woman in German literature of the twentieth century, through the works of the Nobel laureate Heinrich Böll. For the study, the characters of two novelsof the author were selected - the short story “A Group Portrait with a Lady” and the novel “Through the Eyes of a Clown”.
