Each language has its own semantic and pragmatic system, which reflects people’s worldview, social values, and culture. Loyalty is an important concept that refers to a person’s loyalty to an idea, family, friendship, or organization, their self-interest, and their permanence. Each language expresses this concept in different ways, depending on its cultural and historical characteristics. This article analyzes the semantic and pragmatic aspects of the concept of loyalty in English and Uzbek, their place in the language system, and their differences.
