A water-soluble compound of chitosan was obtained by synthesizing quaternary ammonium salts based on chitosan. After the formation of the quaternary ammonium salt of chitosan, the ability to block bacteria increases due to its negative charge. It was found that this compound has antibacterial properties. The structure of the synthesized compound was analyzed using physicochemical methods using IR and PMR spectroscopic methods.
