This article examines the socio-economic relations of the Central Asian khanates with the Ottoman Empire based on 20th century research. It also provides information about the caravan routes and, in part, trade ports that played a significant role in economic relations. The role of large trading cities in the socio-economic relations of the Central Asian khanates with the Ottoman Empire is also indicated. The 20th century scientific research that examined the importance of the Central Asian khanates in the development of trade relations with neighboring states is also examined.
