THE DEPICTION OF SOCIAL AND EVERYDAY LIFE IN THE ADRIAN HENRI’S POEMS
The article analyzes how the poetry of Adrian Henri, created under the influence of 1960s pop culture, reflects social and everyday realities. It shows how the poet incorporates elements of contemporary life, youth culture, and pop culture into his work. The poems use irony and satire to highlight the contradictions between capitalism, consumerism, and art. Through individual poems included in The Liverpool Poem, Henri criticizes social inequality and the moral decline of society. The article deeply explores the connection between the poet’s work and the British society and cultural environment of the 1960s-70s. It emphasizes that Adrian Henri’s poetry marked a new stage in modern literature and remains relevant to this day.
