The article analyzes the role of socio-economic changes after independence in the formation and development of the family institution in Uzbekistan. In the process of building a civil society, the role of the family in state policy, its legal, spiritual, and social foundations are widely covered. Decrees and resolutions on supporting families and women, the activities of the "Agency for Family and Gender Issues," and the critical and analytical approaches of President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev are also reflected. The study scientifically analyzes the legal, spiritual, and medical improvement of family policy, the reform of the institution of marriage, and regulatory mechanisms aimed at protecting the rights of youth and women. As a result, the national concept of strengthening the institution of the family in Uzbekistan and its strategic importance in the development of civil society are substantiated
