The current academic article delves into the information society of the modern era's new sources of threat, and it especially highlights the notion of "information terrorism" as a topic of socio-philosophical discourse. The article views information terrorism not merely as a technological threat or politico-military threat but also as a spiritual-psychological and epistemic one. Using the theoretical discourses of various international and national academicians—such as McQuinn, Peterson, Baudrillard, Castells, Foucault, Heidegger, Habermas, and others—the study defines the destructive effects of information on consciousness, cognition, and mechanisms of social value. In addition, the notions of "informational sovereignty," "informational immunity," and "algorithmic control" come into focus amidst the lines of the current ideology warfare. The article portrays the ontological, cultural, political, and ethical nature of the information domain-based threat and puts forward the importance of humanitarian as well as philosophical initiatives against these challenges.
