O‘ZBEK VA TURK TILLARIDA O‘SIMLIK NOMLARINING ETIMOLOGIK XUSUSIYATLARI
This study analyzes the etymological origin of plant names in Uzbek and Turkish languages, common Turkic roots, borrowing processes and semantic development features. The research covers 150 plant names, employing comparative-historical and etymological analysis methods. The results demonstrate that plant names in Uzbek and Turkish languages comprise 47 percent common Turkic, 28 percent borrowed Persian-Arabic, and 25 percent local substrate elements.
