In this paper, the problem of studying the stability of nonlinear vibrations of a beam of variable crosssection
with dissipative characteristics of hysteresis type under kinematic excitations is considered.
Using the Lyapunov method, the stability conditions are determined in analytical form as a first
approximation, and the stability regions and boundaries are analyzed.
