This article analyzes the formation of euphemisms in the languages of Turkic peoples and their historical roots. It demonstrates the
influence of ancient beliefs, taboos, and cultural traditions on euphemisms. Furthermore, the study of euphemism as a distinct
linguistic phenomenon in general linguistics, starting from the 19th and 20th centuries, and its research within the framework of
functional, semantic, and speech culture are briefly explained.
