The article examines the traditions of wood carving in the Khorezm region, focusing on their historical development and regional
stylistic features. Based on archaeological findings and the collections of the Ichan-Qala State Museum-Reserve, the distinctive
characteristics of the Khiva school of wood carving are analyzed. The study also highlights the role of prominent masters and the
continuity of the master–apprentice tradition in Uzbek applied art.
