THE EFFECT OF NITROGEN RATES ON DIFFERENT WATER REGIMES IN TRITICALE VARIETIES
In the results of the study, the effects of different nitrogen levels on the water compounds (total, free, and bound water) of
triticale varieties Odyssey and Sardor were investigated. The experiments were conducted under control (without fertilizer) and at
the levels of N 150 P 105 K 75 , N 200 P 140 K 100 , N 250 P 175 K 125 and N 300 P 210 K 150 . The obtained results revealed changes in the amount of
water compounds during the developmental phases of triticale varieties. The findings showed that increasing nitrogen levels led
to a uniform rise in total, free, and bound water content across all growth stages. However, during ontogenesis, the total water
content in plants decreased due to accelerated transpiration and distribution processes. Plants with higher nitrogen levels
absorbed more water, retained it better, and exhibited greater metabolic activity. The Odyssey variety contained more water
compared to Sardor, indicating its greater stability and ability to withstand stress. The optimal nitrogen levels (N 250 P 175 K 125 and
N 300 P 210 K 150 ) promoted plant growth and adaptation, achieved through improved water balance.
