The rapid expansion of globalization has significantly increased interaction among people from diverse cultural backgrounds. In these exchanges, language plays a crucial role as the primary medium for communication and mutual understanding. Chinese (汉语 – hànyǔ) is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and serves not only as a tool for communication but also as a carrier of the cultural values, traditions, and worldview of the Chinese people. From this perspective, intercultural communication conducted through the Chinese language possesses distinctive linguistic and cultural features that may both enrich interaction and create potential barriers.
