ANALYSIS OF RELIGION AND ITS FUNCTIONS IN SOCIETY

Religion has always been at the center of human attention. At certain stages of history, it has been a dominant force, while at other stages
it has been denied and "war" declared against it. Regardless of its position in society, it has always been an object of study and research.
As globalization has increased the importance of dialogue between nations, races and religions, the study of religions has become even
more important. Currently, the aggravation of religious conflicts in some regions of the world, as well as the advancement of "theories"
of conflict between religions by some biased researchers, have brought to a new level the scientific discipline of religious studies, which
deals with issues of religion and tolerance.
