ASPEKTUAL SEMANTIKA VA FE’LLARNING HARAKAT TARZI: NAZARIY VA AMALIY JIHATLAR
This article examines the lexico-semantic classification of verbs and their aspectual characteristics. In the language system, the verb occupies a central position and is interpreted as the main means of expressing the dynamics of action. The paper highlights, with examples, such subgroups as inchoative, ingressive, intensive, and completive. In addition, the semantic features of English verbs that express the phases of beginning and completion of an action are analyzed, and their meanings in explanatory dictionaries as well as their usage possibilities are revealed.
