EVALUATION OF THE ANTAGONISTIC PROPERTIES OF LOCAL TRICHODERMA ISOLATES AGAINST THE PHYTOPATHOGENIC FUSARIUM.”
Fusarium is one of the most widespread phytopathogenic fungi. In the present study, the antagonistic properties of local
Trichoderma strains against Fusarium were evaluated under laboratory conditions. The experiments were conducted under aseptic
conditions on a solid nutrient medium based on potato dextrose agar (PDA) using a laminar airflow cabinet. Trichoderma and
Fusarium fungi were inoculated on opposite sides of Petri dishes. The growth dynamics and interaction patterns were observed in
an incubator at a temperature of 25–28 °C for 3 days. The results demonstrated rapid mycelial growth of Trichoderma and a
significant inhibition of Fusarium colony development. Pronounced suppression of the phytopathogenic fungus was observed,
indicating high antagonistic activity of Trichoderma. Thus, the findings confirm that local Trichoderma strains possess high
potential and are promising agents for the biological control of phytopathogenic fungi of the genus Fusarium.
