This study examines the effectiveness of practical training and internships in developing students’ professional competencies in higher education institutions. Based on a mixed-methods approach, the findings revealed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05). The correlation analysis (r = 0.62) indicated a positive relationship between internship participation and competency development.
