THEMATIC GROUPS OF ORONYMS OF THE ANDIJAN REGION
This article analyzes the linguistic features of oronyms (mountains, hills, elevations, ridges, passes, peaks, etc.) found in the Andijan
region. The study examines the etymology, semantic layers, morphological structure of oronyms, as well as their connection with
historical, geographical, and ethnolinguistic factors. Based on the oronyms of the Andijan region, the patterns of formation of
geographical names in the Uzbek language are scientifically revealed
