Mazkur maqolada kinoya (ironiya) va sarkazm (istehzo) tushunchalarining lingvistik tabiati zamonaviy ilmiy adabiyotlar asosida tahlil qilingan. Kinoya va sarkazmning semantik, pragmatik, diskursiv hamda multimodal xususiyatlarini aniqlash, ularning o‘zaro o‘xshash va farqli jihatlarini izohlashdan iborat. Maqolada so‘nggi yillarda chop etilgan tadqiqotlardan foydalanib, kinoya va sarkazmning yozma nutq, ijtimoiy tarmoqlar, emojilar, bolalar nutqni qabul qilishi, shuningdek, kompyuter lingvistikasi va sun’iy intellekt asosida aniqlash tizimlaridagi talqini ko‘rib chiqilgan.
