The article examines the danger of ethnic conflicts in the development of the countries of Central Asia, the socio-political factors in the
formation of nationalist sentiments that were realized in the region during the period of the former union. The geopolitical aspects of
eliminating ethnic conflicts in the Central Asian region are also scientifically analyzed.
