Abstract

Based on chitosan obtained from local raw materials (Calliptamus italicus L.), a polymer composite sorbent with a static exchange capacity (SEC) of 2.43 mg-eq/g was synthesized. UV-Vis and IR spectroscopic, as well as X-ray fluorescence physicochemical analysis methods, were used to study the sorption of Cu(II) ions on the synthesized sorbent.
