Abstract

The acute housing crisis of the 1920s and 1930s intensified after World War II. The program for mass construction of panel-type residential buildings, launched in the late 1950s, was designed to resolve it. At the same time, there was a transition to modernism, that is, a transition from traditional to new methods in architecture and construction of that time. The article analyzes the financial aspects of housing construction in Uzbekistan in the 1940s and 1960s.
