This article presents a comparative linguocultural analysis of the interrelation of paroemias expressing the concepts of work, labor,
and time. Based on paroemias in the Uzbek and English languages, the study examines the semantic and pragmatic aspects of these
lexical and cultural units. The article analyzes how paroemias reflect the notions of work and time within the framework of national
worldview and linguocultural context, as well as their role in revealing the interaction between language and culture. The research
findings demonstrate the culturally conditioned specificity of attitudes toward work and time.
