This article analyzes the issues of developing the linguodidactic competence of future English teachers based on a constructivist
approach. The study outlines the theoretical and pedagogical foundations of the constructivist approach and reveals its significance
in the process of teaching foreign languages. The findings of the research are of practical importance for improving the professional
training of future English teachers.
