THE ROLE OF SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION IN IMPROVING TRANSLATION COMPETENCE
This article examines the role of simultaneous interpreting (SI) in the development and enhancement of translation competence
through a comprehensive analytical approach. The study explores linguistic, cognitive, and technological aspects of simultaneous
interpreting, including real-time translation processes and human–machine collaboration. Special attention is given to
terminology management, quality assurance, contextual adaptation, and interactive support tools that influence translation
accuracy and efficiency. The article also discusses the position of simultaneous interpreting in the modern translation market,
addressing issues of quality, cost-effectiveness, and ethics, and provides practical recommendations for improving interpreter
competence.
