THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PERFORMANCE OF ACADEMIC STAFF IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS: IN CASE OF WIUT

The article analyzes modern mechanisms for evaluating the activities of professors and lecturers based on the
experience of the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT). The role of the "40-40-20" balanced
workload model in increasing academic and scientific potential at the HEIs is highlighted. Based on the analysis,
practical proposals are developed to optimize annual individual work plans and stimulate scientific productivity in
the national higher education system. The conclusions are directed to the goals of improving the quality of education
and research in the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy.
