Downloads
This article analyzes the content of state educational standards aimed at developing associative thinking in primary school-age
students, as well as their theoretical and methodological foundations. In modern education, the development of students’ thinking
processes based on a competency-based approach is considered an important pedagogical task. Associative thinking reflects the
ability to form new concepts and ideas by establishing connections between knowledge, imagination, and experience. In the course
of the study, the cognitive skills reflected in primary education standards, their interrelation with creative and logical thinking, and
their integration with practical activities were examined.
