THE INTEGRATIVE CAPABILITIES OF STEAM TECHNOLOGIES IN DEVELOPING THE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF PRE-SERVICE BIOLOGY TEACHERS
This article analyzes the integrative potential of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) technologies
in the formation of professional competence of future biology teachers. The study substantiates the role of interdisciplinary
integration, project-based learning, problem-based instruction, and digital educational tools in developing professional competence.
It is revealed that the STEAM approach contributes to the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical activities, fostering
creative thinking, research skills, and innovative competencies in biology education. The mechanisms for developing pedagogical,
methodological, and reflective competencies of pre-service teachers are also proposed. The research findings can be used to
improve the professional training system of biology teachers in higher education institutions.
