RESPONSIBILITY: A SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTOR IN THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF A TEACHER

This article analyzes the socio-psychological nature of responsibility in teachers’ professional activity and its structural components as a factor of professional effectiveness. The study employed O.V. Mukhlina’s Multidimensional Functional Diagnostics of Responsibility questionnaire and a modified version of J. Rotter’s Locus of Control Scale. The findings indicate that dynamic, motivational, cognitive, and regulatory components of responsibility are significantly related to professional effectiveness. Statistically significant differences were identified based on gender and type of educational institution
