THE IMPORTANCE OF AUTHENTIC TASKS BASED ON METACOGNITIVE DOMINANCE IN DEVELOPING THE READING COMPETENCE OF B2-LEVEL STUDENTS
At present, the development of communicative competence has become one of the primary goals in the process of foreign language
teaching. One of the essential components of communicative competence is reading competence, which enables language learners
to receive, analyze, and interpret the information through written texts. This article focuses on the role of metacognitive strategies
in improving reading competence and examines the effective application of these strategies using authentic tasks in foreign
language education.
